OMAI’s inaugural conference will take place in Berlin at the Deutsche Oper Berlin on April 8-9, 2022. For our first conference, we are opening registration to members and non-members. Online registration opens March 1st.
We will be hosting three round table sessions on current topics in the opera industry: “OMAI & the Sustainability of the Opera Manager Profession: Opera Managers is Crisis?”, “Social Media” and “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Opera (DEI)”.
Opera Europa will hold their Annual Administrative Forum in Berlin simoutaneously with more than 40 theater directors in attendance. This is a unique opportunity to get to know the intendants and expand our reach as an association. We are organizing several joint events, which include important meetings on contract terms with Executive Board members of AEAA, IAMA and Opera Europa.
Opera Europa is offering to hold auditions for artists managed by OMAI Annual Conference attendees. Auditions will take place on Sunday, April 10 at the Komische Oper. Don’t miss this chance to have your artists heard by Opera Europa intendants! More information to follow.

Friday, April 8 We will hold our first official “Mitgliederversammlung” (OMAI Annual Meeting), Session1 with Opera Europa with a coffee break together and the first round table: “The Sustainability of the Opera Manager Profession”. Afterwards, we invite you to a fun happy hour in art gallery (Raab Galerie, Goethestraße 81, 10623 Berlin).
Saturday, April 9 We will host Session2 with Opera Europa and two round tables: “Social Media” and “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Opera (DEI)”.
The conference concludes with a festive gala dinner on Saturday evening at 20h (Lutter & Wegner, Charlottenstraße 56, 10117 Berlin).
